Mabon: Mabon, also known as the Autumnal Equinox, falls on or around September 22nd and is the celebration of the second of three harvests. Like the Vernal Equinox, this marks another moment when the hours of the day are balanced and equal. At this point, there begins to be noticeable shifts in the season such as a crispness to the air, changing and falling of leaves, and the world begins its process of going dormant in preparation for winter. This time of the year we begin harvesting fruits and vegetables such as apples, grapes, potatoes, and pumpkins, & continue reaping grain, corn, and soybeans as we also prepare to go dormant for the coming season. Like the prior Sabbat of Lammas, we are still celebrating the concept of abundance and prosperity while hopefully sifting through the grown bounty. Mabon is a time to express gratitude for the light and respect for the weaning of it.
To celebrate Mabon go apple or pumpkin picking, decorate your altar with elements of the fall, decorate your home with dried flowers, mums, and gourds to connect into the spirit of the harvest, and get some warm cooking in with pies and breads. It’s also a great time to reflect on what you’re grateful for and how you want to prepare for the colder months by getting organized. Release the baggage from last year and set some new personal goals. If you are someone who struggles with seasonal depression like many others, it may be a nice time to think on that and perhaps make a spell jar or amulet to call in protective energy and get mentally prepared to get cozy and situated. While the outdoor growing season is coming to a close, the growing season for our inner selves is here and coming up quickly. Consider celebrating by getting crafty as well! Many celebrants of the past made dolls out of whatever grain stalks were handy to hold on to and bury during Ostara as a way to bring luck to the grain fields.

In the bottle there is added Juniper Berry, Amber, Sandalwood, White Oak Bark, and Citrine. These are all handcrafted and so bottle additions may vary slightly depending on what is available.
